Church Use Policy

As part of the community, we embrace our community and want to be an active part in its activities. We here at Trinity United Methodist Church, make our facilities available for public use to individuals, families, or groups when available, and if your event is appropriate to this environment. We always retain the right to refuse a group or an event we feel isn't appropriate to our church and our beliefs. We also retain the right to adjust the schedule - in advance when possible - of an event's time and/or date in the event of conflicts such as funerals.

Among events and groups that we've enjoyed sharing space with, we count among them, the Boy Scouts of America, and The Big Cedar Bluegrass Band who has give us wonderful bluegrass concerts, we made rooms available for councelling and family restoration. In addition, we have enjoyed a wonderful play put on by the Fond du Lac Community Players.

As always, our church is a place of worship and faith, and among the many joys we celebrate, baptisms and weddings are the most heart-warming and joyous times of the year. When tragedy enters our lives, we also celebrate the lives of our families and loved ones through end-of-(this)-life services and share in our loss as well as our memories.

Although we do rent the church for wedding celebrations and funerals of non-members, we do not feel it's appropriate to bring in outside clergy to officiate the service. There are always exceptions to every rule, as we've done services where our pastor and another clergyman have co-officiated the service. Please contact Pastor John if you have any special needs.

The service fees, for members and non-members, for weddings, funerals, and other events are as follows:

Not all fees apply to all events and some service fees such as the custodian fee are required with any large event. Applicable fees will be discussed at the time you schedule your event and sign the Church Rental Agreement.
